There are around one million trustees and committee members running the charities, community organisations and social enterprises across the country. We need people to join trustee and management boards in Bucks.
We Need People Like You.
Trusteeship is a great way to make a difference to a cause you care about. It is a respected and responsible role. It can also be a great route to develop skills, gain experience and meet new people.
People of all ages and from all walks of life, have experience and skills that would make them a good trustee. No-one on a board is expected to be good at everything. It is your knowledge and experience that makes you uniquely capable and valuable as a trustee.

This new initiative will recruit senior executives, managers and high-calibre
professionals who are currently out of work into an Interim Expert Volunteers
Panel.
Members of this panel will use their experience, knowledge, skills and expertise
in short-term targeted ‘Assignments’ that will support voluntary and community
organisations, while helping panel members to enhance their profile and CV and
to identify alternative routes to employment.
The interim assignments will bring much needed strategic and professional skills
to voluntary and community organisations across the county, at a time when
many are looking at ways to ‘raise their game’ because of downturn challenges.
Induction into the panel will be covered in a short series of Executive Forums
delivered in partnership with Bucks Economic and Learning Partnership and
Aylesbury College, and run at a number of venues across the county.
The Executive Forum sessions will help panel members to:
- identify transferable skills
- increase understanding about work as an Interim Manager or Consultant
- demonstrate the link between assignment activities and the search for
future employment, and
- provide an induction into volunteering and the not for profit sector.
The Interim Expert Volunteers initiative is funded by Bucks Strategic Partnership
and is a Voluntary Impact Bucks project led by Vale Volunteers.
